“Vaccines contain dangerous and toxic ingredients.”
This one never dies, so let’s tackle it properly. Yes, vaccines contain multiple components but context, chemistry, and dose matter. Vaccine ingredients have been studied for decades, across trials and billions of doses. A 🧵

This administration is spending $170 billion on deportations, more than we spend on childcare or school lunch in a year.

Okay, I’m going to take a mea culpa on this one, as initial reporting suggested he was ONLY facing removal because of the murder conviction he’s been exonerated from. But there’s more; at 19, he pled guilty to dealing LSD. And in immigration law, that’s its own “aggravated felony” ground of removal.

After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

Depraved.

The people who want violent protests to happen are Trump, Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Pete Hegseth, Tom Homan, and other senior appointees in his admin. They are doing everything they possibly can to provoke people to violence and it is obvious that is what they hope for daily.

Indeed. I was just happy they didn’t give it to Trump. But lots of folks are pissed, if my Bsky interactions are any indication.

Why is a class action lawsuit against Amazon alleging Prime Day is a scam getting zero coverage by mainstream media?

Could it be because media outlets get a cut when a customer purchases a Prime Day product when clicking through their featured deals?

UPDATE: Lawsuit alleges Prime Day is a fraud
The federal class action lawsuit has been ignored by major media outlets, which continue to promote Prime Day deals.

There are very few policy positions on which Democrats and Republicans agree these days. Having a U.S. refugee resettlement program is one of them.

Too bad this administration is decimating it.
A September 26-28 poll of US likely voters conducted by the Refugee Advocacy Lab shows that 69% of likely voters (79% of Dems, 68% of Independents, and 59% of Reps) believe the government should have a refugee program that helps bring some people seeking refuge to safety in the United States.

It is pretty galling that the Supreme Court spent four years telling Biden "you can't do that without Congress" then allowed Trump to seize a once-unthinkable amount of power from Congress within nine months and concentrate law-making authority almost entirely in the executive branch.

And what undocumented immigrants receive through ER care, they have already payed back through taxes.

Whether it’s Joe Biden attending weekly mass or Donald Trump’s ICE agents shooting a priest in the face with a pepper ball, presidents of both sides have directly engaged with the Catholic faith.
