Historian and bestselling author Colin Woodard argues America's divide isn’t red vs. blue at all — it’s a clash of distinct cultural nations.

Wow. (Though, I admit, I don't fully understand UK liability laws, which operate in the absence of US-style constitutional press protections.)
In case you missed this, the BBC edited a historian's speech about Trump to remove the claim that he's "the most openly corrupt president in US history." This came after Trump had threatened a $1 billion lawsuit.

Elite capitulation continues.

These seems, to me, painfully obvious, and should be the starting point hypothesis for any journalist working the trade policy beat.
You have to look at what Trump is doing in terms of tariffs, not in economic terms, but as a mobster would. He is using the tariffs to grift. He does not care who it hurts or if it makes economic sense. He is a career criminal - a convicted felon - and he will keep grifting until he is stopped.

It's really hard to maintain a cricket pitch there, however.

The effects on Iceland would be massive. But watch out Ireland and the UK. Without the Gulf Stream you'd have, like, Labrador's climate.

Yeah, they didn’t seem to grind DJT very small, not when he was a real estate developer, not when he encouraged an armed coup against the United States. It grinds some people small and lets others pass on through.

Well known and very clearly defined in political science.
