So we’re murdering people in the Caribbean because narcoterrosim is bad, but this guy goes free because narcoterrosim is a pardonable offense?

😵‍💫😵‍💫
This seems like the kind of declaration by a U.S. president that should be mentioned *somewhere* on the front page of CNN or the NY Times, but the fact that it isn't (as of right now) tells us so much both about how this president is covered and the credibility of the U.S. government.
Might be kicking off.

Just saw this @greerdonley.bsky.social piece on SSRN. Haven't read it yet (downloaded!) but from the abstract it looks smart & interesting. In utero embryo fetus as property. I've LONG been irked by the law's unwillingness to call human "stuff" (not humans) property.

If the fetus is not a constitutional person, what is it constitutionally? This Article tackles this exceptionally challenging question through an abortion-right

The endless hot takes about how Mamdani isn't the perfect leftist/socialist some have made him out to be -- because, you know, he's an imperfect and complicated human being constrained by reality, just like everyone else -- are going to be really annoying.
what?
what?

I've never had a pie that's even half as good as a mediocre chocolate cake.
I get a lot of hate for this view and in turn I'd only ask if you've ever had a pie as good as a typical cheesecake. The answer is no, you have not. Cheesecake invalidates the whole pie category. Hell, regular cake barely survives the cheesecake onslaught on the strength of carrot cake alone.
The dirty secret of pies is that they have the lowest ceiling potential of all sweets. Your best pie is merely fine. Your median pie is bad.

If this doesn't make you smile and laugh (and maybe even tear up a bit), well, not sure why we're connected online at all.

I find so funny how we try to get articles down below 25,000 to please law review editors during the submission process but during the editing process every edit is "can you explain this more" or "can you add a parenthetical here" thus getting the piece back to 30,000 or more.

I’m appreciating the new wave music for the broadcast fade-outs on the Eagles game today - New Order, Depeche Mode.

What if we do that 10 to 15 times per game?

The only truly irreversible thing a trans child is likely to do is take their own life. "What if they do something irreversible?" actually means "theyre not allowed to make a decision!"

You cant undo or reverse any decision you make, you can simply change your mind later and handle the consequences
