No offense, but obsessing over any celebrity is a sign you’re not a serious person.

I know she’s popular and as culturally relevant as anyone can be in our fractured society, but like any interest beyond “oh I liked/didn’t like her album” is the sign you have a deep parasocial relationship.

Nothing says you value free speech like forcing a captive audience to watch your propaganda and then retaliate if they don’t approve sufficiently.

NEW: Pentagon officials are forcing staff to watch Pete Hegseth's "Warrior" speech he forced generals to listen to.

Officials are even "testing" staff to see if they watched — and are threatening consequences if they lie about watching it or if they mock it, sources tell @swin24.bsky.social and I.
The Pentagon Is Ordering Staff to Watch Hegseth’s ‘MAGA Garbage’ Speech… Or Else
Defense Department sources tell Zeteo that staff have been warned that if they don’t watch or read the speech, or if they speak negatively of it, they could face severe consequences.

And they look exactly like you’d expect young republicans to look like.

Why do adherents of the constantly-looking-backwards ideology constantly look backwards?

I'm generalizing, but why do conservatives remember political irritations for so much longer than liberals?

It's been 17 years since Obama said some voters "cling to their guns, to their religion" and I heard a senator denounce that last month.

Obvious theory: Media ecosystem puts it on repeat

Everything they do is performative bullshit for their hateful propaganda campaigns.

Chris Columbus, the screenwriter/director who gave the world Gremlins and Goonies.

You won’t even have to change the name.

From what I’ve seen that’s already the majority of protesters.

What we need are young people. The folks out protesting seem like they’re well-experienced at protesting going back to, at least, the Iraq war protests 20+ years ago and some back to Vietnam.

protests against this government should include white Boomer grandmothers who meet for pilates class, get a pitcher of mimosas & walk together to the public space

we need people in the street who think everyone can talk their way out of a speeding ticket, they're key to winning

Trump: "I don't think there's anything that's gonna get me in heaven. I think I'm not maybe heaven bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly on Air Force One. I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to make heaven."

Justin Fields had more yards in sacks (55) than passing (45).

I’ve watched football for 35 years and I’ve never seen that.

Ugh. This fucking team is ridiculous.

There are lots of sincere reasons people have for joining the military.

All of them are second to “because it pays money.”
