I wrote my upcoming verse novel Hekate inspired by ancient Greek poet and playwright Euripides’ structure. I loved writing this book and was bereft when I finished it. It’s one of those stories that lingers - an intimating goddess of necromancy telling us her origins.

Turning antisemitism into a weird game like this doesn’t seem like the best way to protect Jewish people. Also, can I just say, the non-stop harassment of Ms. Rachel in particular for just saying “please stop killing Palestinian children and their families” is bone chilling.

If you think more liberation movements are built on “what have we got to lose” and not hope for a better future, you’re already lost. My family survived two genocides. They didn’t survive because they were doomers. They survived on hope.

You know, Jane Austen clearly found most people really annoying, which is why her books all ended with her annoyedly telling us “look some of these people got married, some died, some were miserable, some were happy, but most importantly THE END.”

For a long time, I thought Thanksgiving was a holiday where people invited turkeys dressed as pilgrims to eat at their table with them, and till date I have no clue why I thought this.
