Sources tell Letters from Leo that Leo has no plans to sing the 1970 classic from the loggia of St. Peter's Basilica on Christmas Day.

I'm working day and night to rectify this sad situation.

After Bublé’s final number, Pope Leo XIV took the microphone to offer his own brief reflection on the night.

“Tonight, music was like a bridge that leads us to God,” Leo shared, noting that a song can express “the deepest movements of the soul” and lift our spirits even in hard times.

"The backlash to ICE around the country — ICE and CBP — has been so intense, I’ve never seen anything like it,” says @joesudbay.bsky.social. “It is not coming from any organized entity in DC. This is coming from people in those communities.”
@joesudbay.bsky.social explains that the country now sees how Trump’s promises on tariffs and deportation are hitting communities hard. But community backlash against ICE and CBP is growing across the country and showing the power of grassroots organizing.

Oregon Senator Ron Wyden announced Tuesday that survivors of Jeffrey Epstein are supporting the senator's bill aiming to shed light on the late sex offender’s finances.

“To tear families apart is to wound the very heart of God,” said Father Gary, who walked _800 miles_ from the childhood home of Pope Leo to the Statue of Liberty in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors. “And now, after all these miles, I say again: It is time to step up. It is time to speak out.”
As a daughter of immigrants, witnessing Father Gary’s pilgrimage reach its end was truly inspiring. His walk honors the sacrifices, and echoes the hopes and fears of so many immigrant families.

Thank you, Father Gary, for carrying our voices, and for reminding the country that immigrants belong.
Father Gary Graf’s 800-mile walk from Dolton, Illinois to the Statue of Liberty ended this week, but the mission he carried with him is far from over.

His message to all of us: "It is time to step up. It is time to speak out."
