Black History Month is a time to celebrate the achievements of Black Americans who've shaped our nation, and to recognize there's still work to do. From the Tuskegee Airmen to engineers who helped us reach the Moon, their contributions are essential.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Yep - pretty accurate!

Given the Congressional hearings about health insurance that are happening, it’s worth re-upping this piece Jonathan Kanter and I wrote on the rise of health care platforms being formed by health insurance companies (spoiler: it’s not good..). jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...

Well said.

The mask is off - he’s openly endorsing racism and antisemitism. Make no mistake - this will encourage and embolden haters with violent hate crimes as the result.

Never (but it hurts a bit less over time).
Yesterday Elon Musk retweeted "white solidarity is the only way to survive". In our numb overwhelmed media environment it barely made headlines that the world's richest man endorsed blood-curdling white nationalism. My brief writeup for @religiondispatches.org

On Thursday morning Elon Musk retweeted (with a ‘100%’ endorsement) a post declaring that: If white men become a minority, we will be slaughtered. Remember, if non-Whites openly hate White men while...

Very sad indeed. A great scholar and a very kind and generous colleague. We were very fortunate to have him close by when he was at the University of Pittsburgh.

Physically sickening to see the White House website defiled with lies about what happened on January 6. Republican politicians know what really happened and said so on 1/6/21. Now too cowardly to speak up.

In a breathtaking reversal of reality, Trump uses a taxpayer funded website to whitewash the history of Jan. 6, blaming Capitol Police, Democrats and Pence -- everyone but himself and the mob that stormed the Capitol. @lukebroadwater.bsky.social @alanfeuer.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2026/01/06/u...

I’ll take my commission in bread!

Does every program have its own bread or pastry?
Medicare - croissants
Medicaid - bagels
Part D - doughnut holes (obviously!)

Is this post a recruiting promotion for CBO?

Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised by a claim of research bias from a researcher who is clearly biased himself.

No one can question @captmarkkelly.bsky.social’s patriotism, least of all someone who dodged the draft and let others serve and risk their lives in his place.

Thank you Eugene Goodman for saving Democracy during the Capitol insurrection #January6th
My thoughts today are with the security people and police officers who defended the Capitol on January 6 and have been treated with such distain since by the GOP. For them and the Democratic leadership who lived through such chaos and no doubt continue to carry the scars within. We will not forget.

Yup. Their Jewishness totally ignored, erased.
