Thank you

Thank you, I’ll have a look!

Thank you!

Does anyone know of any shop in London selling music cassettes (second hand or new)?
✂️ Yesterday I finally responded to @agakowalska.bsky.social’s challenge to make a collage from a single piece of packaging. I present to you a green (tea) woodpecker, made from a big Yorkshire Tea box. It was fun and I’ll be rooting through our recycling bin for more materials later on ♻️

It’s a lovely article, worth reading!

'This year, one of the aims of the conservation charity will be to make people feel more at ease in its grand houses and, where practical, allow them to sit on historic chairs and use libraries and reading rooms rather than simply peer into them.' Excellent initiative.

I think this is the Telegraph stirring up trouble.

Thank you so much, I just ordered it!

Nevermind, just found it! Thank you! I don’t know how this passed me by!

I would love to read this, but can’t find it online. Is it a recent book?
Properly funding the court system would clear the backlog even more quickly.

Really good programme right now on BBC 6Music about the making of David Bowie’s Low.

One thing that struck me is that Lamar is assuming that his adopted children will just conform and comply in the same way as the AI chatbot is. No notion that children have their own agency and don’t always respond to things in the way you expect them to (being human).

What have I just read?!

Wow, so jealous! When I lived in Amsterdam I used to drop in to the Concertgebouw, it wasn’t too hard to get last-minute tickets. Sadly I now live in the sticks 😩
First trip on this lake for the season. It is been ages since last time we had such clear, transparent ice as this year.

Sober, precise read of relevant law from Seth Stoughton (who I don't think is on here), a former colleague and the best police lawyer I know:

Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

The university insists on it for online meetings. Although I guess I could use my phone for those.

I’ve switched to open source for everything else, it’s only the operating system now (and Teams 🙄)

I tried to install Linux on an old MacBook, but it didn’t work very well. I may need to borrow or buy a second hand laptop to try this out properly.
