My older daughter learned to ride a bike today. She was so happy. As she was riding, she said, โ€œI feel free.โ€ My heart is full.

Salt Lake City, Utah โ€” future home of the 2034 Olympics!

For whatever is worth it, Iโ€™ll be voting for Nate Blouin in the Dem primary for Utahโ€™s 1st congressional district. I think heโ€™d make a hell of a congressman

This is why you elect competent leaders like Nate, who know what theyโ€™re talking about and reach out to experts to learn more, and donโ€™t elect people whose โ€œexpertiseโ€ is shitposting on X and thus focus on culture war issues
Utahโ€™s dirty air isnโ€™t an accident. Trumpโ€™s EPA stopped counting the health costs of pollution & politicians here are trying to shield fossil fuel companies from accountability.

Proud to stand with Brian Moench. We need a strong EPA, a protected federal workforce & clean air that puts people first.

Air quality is deteriorating even in Heber City. Moving to the mountains wonโ€™t save you. We need action

Agreed

We have this, which also relies on mobile sensors on TRAX www.saltlakecounty.gov/health/air-q...

No, the sensors are not very good. I try to rely on high quality sensors only

NEW: Under political pressure, the Trump admin is devising a plan to lower housing costs, but there is no quick fix. He aims to unveil the plan in Davos, though he speaks on the economy today in Detroit. His admin has already cut programs that aid renters/the poor.

Pro tip during inversions in northern Utah: the UtahAir app gives you access to high quality sensors, and you can see the reading of the sensor closest to where you are. The map below shows that PM 2.5 pollution is worse at lower elevations

Dismantling DHS is an entirely achievable goal for Democrats at this point.

You can have Fox yell at you for being a radical leftist or whatever, but you're going to have endless images of paramilitary goons assaulting people on TV, and voters will associate you with wanting to end that.

The biggest source of pollution during the inversion is the transportation sector, especially cars. The refinery doesn't help, but it's a small fraction

Trump doesnโ€™t like windmills so weโ€™re out of luck

๐Ÿ’ฏ

And yes, the Utah Legislature has a bipartisan "Clean Air Caucus," but I don't remember seeing any consequential bill addressing air quality since moving here about 7 years ago.

And even if the inversion were real, itโ€™s probably due to all these darn Californians moving to Utah
