3. This might be controversial, but I cannot see the Giro moving forward without a gravel stage. It's just so good, and it doesn't have to be near Siena and with the Strade Bianche sectors. There is good gravel (and good cobbles) elsewhere, including in Veneto - see the Veneto Classic route

1 (cont.) The Tour would never do that. They include their mythical climbs (Tourmalet, Alpe d'Huez, Mont Ventoux) pretty regularly, regardless of which cities pay for stages.
2. A "soft" Giro to attract Evenepoel and Vingegaard. Pathetic, and only 40 km of ITT isn't really going to attract Remco

3. Another grande partenza from abroad. The stages in Bulgaria also look pretty "meh." Italian regions, especially in the South, deserve the Giro.
4. Why sprint stages on two consecutive Sundays (Milano and Roma)? I can understand the last stage in Roma, but the one in Milano shouldn't be on Sunday

THE BAD
1. The multi-mountain stages have quite long distances between the penultimate climb and the start of the last climb. That is not conducive to long-range attacks, which make for the most epic stages.
2. Quite a few "meh" climbs that don't have big gradients or other technical difficulty

As an Italian, I'm generally a Giro d'Italia stan. Here's my analysis of the good, the bad, and the ugly.
THE GOOD
1. Mountain stages include a variety of unipuerto stages and classic Giro multi-mountain stages. See the Corno alle Scale stage vs. the Queen stage in the Dolomites. Variety is good

Pathetic car-brained stuff from “satirical” page in Utah. 1. Compares cyclists to ants, telling you how little regard they have for people on bikes. 2. “Cyclists” are rendered as recreational riders in spandex. 3. AI generated. 4. Are drivers still mad about bikes not in a single file in 2025?

Salt Lake City NIMBYs go like, “There’s nowhere to park.” Bologna NIMBYs are like, “Really?”
November 28, 2025 at 3:12 AM
As in the US, NIMBYs make historic preservation arguments to oppose the streetcar. Honey, if only you knew what was there before cars ruined that beautiful city

Some of the greatest hits by the Utah GOP, all in one article:

1. Baseless fearmongering about Utah turning into California
2. A disdain for voters being able to choose for themselves.
