A MAGA relative's new get rich quick scheme is becoming an actor at 50 so on Thanksgiving I learned about AI vertical shorts. His "agent" who charges 10k for 6 months of "representation" arranges his "auditions" He always gets the part. For the in-app price of $25/week, you can watch the following:

Everything else aside, the dishes seem comically out of proportion to one another. That huge tray of macaroni, giant pot of unseasoned vegetables, and a tiny little thing of potatoes? That’s not right.

I do not say “mac and cheese” because saying “cheese” assumes facts not in evidence.

The stuff that’s easy to keep from drying out (mashed potatoes, mac, stuffing) is dry. This gives me no confidence in the turkey, which is hard to keep from drying out. Vegetables deserve better than just being steamed and drained.

Rolls meh but hell, I’d eat one. Cranberries look standard.

I am fortunate to be at a UC and most students do want to be there, but even at very selective institutions you see this crop up. At places where you are taking all comers (such as a public high school) I imagine this problem is much more pronounced.

Too many barriers is also bad! Expectations can be set unreasonably high. But the balance has tipped so far towards just keep your enrollments/just keep them happy that you have to be very brave or unusually talented to help students develop a skill they’ll keep for life.

Something I think about a lot: the best learning happens when there is some friction—when it’s too easy you don’t get mastery.

But when there is friction anyone who doesn’t really want to learn just quits. And at all levels of education it seems that people quitting is thought a much worse outcome.

I’m crabby that they’re making high school kids play football on Sunday so that Michigan State v Maryland, a game that not even fans of those teams care about, can happen at Ford Field today.

There’s a very choice that Sherrone has to make this offseason.

Does the standard he set for the O this year apply to the D and the STs and the in game decisions?

The O got MUCH better across the board this offseason. Those guys did the work. Everybody else must be held to that standard.

This battle is between me and the Computer. Enough!

I mean, it looks like the best team in the country playing the 15th-20th best team in the country. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Everything else aside I think we have 21 points in the first half with Haynes or Marshall healthy. The line is only going to get better and Bryce should grow a lot.

Yeah—do that, make JB Brown a recruiting analyst or something, spend the transfer NIL on defensive line and one more wideout, and we got a stew going.

Separately…we don’t need to be doing this, I don’t think.

Gotta be a bust? That’s that. See below re: too young, too injured.

I cannot for the life of my understand why Jordan Young (very promising but incredibly green) is in a game like this, but: good job, Jordan Young!

Priors going into this were that Michigan is talented and improving, but too young and too injured for a challenge like this. Feels about right.

You cannot have Caleb Anderson on Carnell Tate, or probably on this field at all

It has been a little painful to see three (?) runs that you suspect Haynes would have taken to the house

Just texted my dad “lmaooooook” and you know what, let’s make that typo a thing.

No ejection but you can’t fucking do that

Is Barham getting himself ejected for that? Jesus man.

One of my long held crank theories is that the sports entertainment complex is a way for men to enjoy gossip and drama in a way that isn’t woman-coded.

Going to take this 15 minute halftime show devoted entirely to Lane Kiffin as a data point in favor.

Quisling shit.

Fair warning that as of Sunday this becomes this kind of account for four weeks.

Very curious what this paragraph is a euphemism for!
