if lizza wants my subscription money he should not just burn himself and nuzzi, but every other journalist who knew about this, by name. you’ve already put on the jacket, go ahead and throw a few more charges in it.
yeah it’s bad that Lizza has been sitting on this for so long but also how cursory and inept was that Vox investigation that not only managed to miss the biggest scandal in the history of American political journalism but affirmatively exonerated her bsky.app/profile/bkel...
So the editor of New York Magazine said there was no bias or ethical problems with Olivia's articles?

Does he still think that?

People are getting mad here, but most journalists actually like RFK because they agree with his positions on eugenics and covid lockdowns, and will never forgive Biden for ending the Afghan war. Not explicitly a sex thing most of the time.
I assume journalists do this stuff all the time. Maybe more on the editorial side, but as a non-journalist, I don’t particularly care what part of the organization is tasked to do the consent-manufacturing. This assumption is based on my observations of journalism in the run up to the Iraq War.

I am not kidding when I say that on insta the most common genres of Sora videos that pop up unprompted in the reels feeds are 1) animals being pulled over by the police and 2) implausibly overweight ppl doing physical activities that result in absurd failures. Slop tech begets slop content.
a) its still got a problem with hands

b) i think its kinda ironic that we're sweating over hyper realistic stuff like this when in practice a lot of what we see this generative tech actually being used for is various forms of obviously fake absurdities or comically bigoted content

Funny how many ppl in Trumps admin dont seem to understand that they dont actually work for Russia
U.S. Army Sec. Driscoll warned EU diplomats that Russia is stockpiling long-range missiles, using it as leverage to push Trump’s peace plan.

He claimed the growing arsenal could soon overwhelm Ukraine’s air defenses. Critics say this flips U.S. policy on its head, pressuring the victim to settle.

But also, *if* (big if) the substantive allegations are true, this is a massive indictment of the profession, I'm afraid.

It shouldn't need to be re-stated but the Guard are semi-professional soldiers. That is no insult. With the exception of those that have been active duty, they are trained mainly for disaster response, logistics, crowd control, and restoring order after unrest. That is not the same as police.
Reminder that the National Guard aren’t really trained for what they’re being asked to do.
