Do not, my friends, become addicted to dopamine. It will take hold of you, and you will resent its absence.

They demonstrated pretty conclusively that they understand how to cover pardons as if they are huge scandals when they ran multiple days of banner headlines and scolding op-eds and follow ups when Biden pardoned Hunter exactly one year ago.

They just choose not to for trump because they like him
It’s wild how the press is ok with the president abusing the pardon power. That used to be one of the most scrutinized things about a presidency.

We're not powerless at all. We can fill DC and shut it down with people who refuse to leave until this illegitimate regime has resigned or been removed from office.
He's going to kill so many people and we're powerless to stop it. One of the most vile humans currently wandering around this watery rock.

One reason we failed in the past is bc we didn't build up popular opposition to the crimes, whether it's torture or drone-killing or even attacking Congress.

Now is the time to do that, not after Dems retake power.
If Democrats are ever in power again what’s going to happen is the idea of holding this administration accountable for breaking the law every single day is immediately going to be made out as the greater breach of the rules.

Dancer here. If men in strip clubs knew how dancers talk about them in the dressing room, they would never come back. Best case is pity. Mostly we think you're scum. We know you all think you're the exception. Making you think that is our job.

just a reminder that *lots* of countries have universities, and (to my knowledge) none of them but the U.S. treat their universities as largely minor league sports franchises
LSU is paying its previous football coach over $50 million NOT to coach there while likely guaranteeing Kiffin something approaching double that, all while having an academic hiring freeze and budget cuts across the board. What is the purpose of a university (rhetorical)?
SOURCES: Lane Kiffin is expected to accept LSU's offer to become the Tigers next head coach. Kiffin is set to meet with his Ole Miss team this morning at 9 AM CT. As we reported yesterday morning, LSU has been very confident it was going to land Kiffin. www.nytimes.com/athletic/684...

In the last century, the United States was part of an alliance that liberated Europe and helped Germany write a modern constitution. It sure would be nice if they returned the favor.
It would be cool if Venezuela intervened in our country to save it from its election-denying, aspiring Fascist dictator.

Every billionaire is a national security threat and a policy failure.
the problem with "strong floor, no ceiling" is that we should absolutely have a ceiling
November 30, 2025 at 5:16 PM
"No ceiling" is the opposite of what people want and need right now. They want the ceiling to come down HARD.
A functional democracy is impossible to sustain without a ceiling on concentrated wealth and power. Even a meritorious Musk (and he's not) would pose an existential threat to democracy.

“Strong floor, no ceiling” is absolutely the type of slogan that a focus group of swing voters will tell you they find appealing after it has been a whole hour and they just want to go home.

It’s a slogan for people convinced this country *really* wants a Mike Bloomberg presidential campaign.
