A huge amount of Americans are vaguely uncomfortable with trans girls in schools but don't care that much, and the solution to them is to just go "What, should we require kids all have their junk examined?" and they'll be like "Oh wow, don't like that" and give up they don't really care
Many people are saying.

The entire trans panic is an elite affectation that violently and deliberately misreads the willingness of the general public to go along with it.

This summer I took a vacation across five eastern/central European countries that all have significantly smaller citizenries now than they did 35 years ago and let me tell you, Americans simply have no conception of how bleak it is to live in a shrinking country.
I cannot imagine the brain that believes their own citizenship is cheapened by the growth of the American citizenry.

That’s a goddamn triumph. That’s us winning.
Ezra Klein even like "well we can agree 'birth tourism' is a problem," and no, I cannot. My group texts are about sports and kids.

“i have a dream” was a sermon delivered from the pulpit at the temple of lincoln, by our greatest martyr dr. king
america has our saints, our scriptures, our holy sites, even our pilgrimages. go to the national mall in dc and understand that, first and foremost, dc is a temple city, and the people there are making a pilgrimage to the holy tombs of the martyrs

Yggy didn’t take the oath so you can’t get him on this but legit, if you swore to uphold the constitution and you participate in getting rid of birthright citizenship, insurrection clause. No more offices of trust or profit. Personally liable for damages. Criminal investigations where appropriate.
I continue to think that Matty coming out against birthright citizenship a few months ago should have been taken as a major warning sign that the group chats have already decided to surrender on this.

I’ve had the great joy of working in several offices where citizenship ceremonies were held and this is America leaving people at the altar
“She showed up as scheduled, and when she arrived, officers were asking everyone what country they were from, and if they said a certain country, they were told to step out of line and that their oath ceremonies were canceled.”

oh and she represents the border, so this makes other border congresscritters with a different attitude toward immigration policy look pretty dumb.

Let us remember systemic racism - the idea that system built in more racist times would continue to disadvantage non whites, even if individual hearts and minds change- is dismissed as conspiratorial thinking
insane local news just dropped. i've lived in a part of KC for ~decade and it's been an inside joke with friends and service workers that the local biz/party district is ran by a cartel of biz owners who bully out new ventures and replace them with generic dive bars for white suburbanites.

Well UH

Yes, no action Democrats need to take to restore freedom and the rule of law can happen unless their first act is to rectify the court. Everything depends on that.

when the AI bubble bursts and we have hundreds of extra GWs of capacity on the grid, power will then be too cheap to meter and the hall–héroult process will be essentially free. i propose spinning up the aluminum industry and providing a weekly ration of aluminum billets to all americans
A few important points here

- Generative AI supercharged data centre growth: lobbyist and substacker lines pretending like this is just streaming are false

- Even when you consider much of the projected growth is speculative, the *likely* projects are still MASSIVE

I don’t like a lot of these orgs (I’m mostly fine with DSA). But if you want to complain about anti-war activism being monopolized by the far-left, you need to actually do liberal anti-war activism.
We must show up in full force, across backgrounds and movements, to demand money for people's needs, not for a new war!

Join us on December 6 to demand a stop to this war before it starts!
