Hi, it’s me, your neighborhood robotics business guy, to inform you that if robots were actually ready to automate a process at scale, they would likely already be deployed
Fascinating interview with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on @cnbc.com this morning: He said that US manufacturers can use robots to offset the low wages paid in other countries, enabling the return of more production to the US, and Americans can get jobs building and maintaining the robots.

Replace the MRAP with a BMP & this is very literally a scene from Euromaidan, complete with the makeshift barricade.
This administration is cooked. Literally no one is scared of them.

Hochul, noticing the crown in the gutter: gonna just reach down and
Secretary Noem has forfeited her right to lead. I’m calling on her to resign.

Gregory Bovino must also be fired.

No one, not an ICE agent, not a federal officer, not a president, is above the law.

I think these CEOs thought they had to say something that didn’t offend the many Republicans who surely work for these companies

And they are counting on the Democrats and independents who work for them letting it slide
INBOX: 60+ CEOs of Minnesota-based company call for "an immediate deescalation of tensions and for state, local and federal officials to work together to find real solutions."

No mention of ICE in the letter.

I think this really did strike at the heart of conservative beliefs about 2A.

It’s impossible to be passionate about gun rights AND to believe that carrying — whether open or concealed — makes you and your loved ones less safe.

Yet the latter is an unmistakable takeaway from Alex Pretti’s murder.

Even these ICE/CPB thugs, the ones who are just "doing (and really enjoying) their jobs" will fade away back into their HVAC repair job without a fight bc they are terrified of standing out, of being on the wrong side of power. They won't be a threat when this is over, they'll just be quiet evil.

The average fascist is a follower. The average fascist is frightened of life. The average fascist needs the backing of the state to do evil. Without the backing of the state, they're just your neighbor who wishes you were dead but is too terrified of consequences to say it.

I never thought Singal was a Trump supporter, he's just a perfect specimen of a "classical liberal" type who was always ready to be taken advantage of by illiberals who adopt the language of "truth-seeking" and "free inquiry."

The Kind Of Guy who thinks "just asking questions" is a virtue.
Look at what he hallucinated from my five words.

But I understand how people who legitimized MAGA superstars like Vinay Prasad want a safe space where no one reminds them what they helped unleash on all of us.

I was a sensitive kid. I loved cats. I had OCD, undiagnosed.

When I was 9, a fraternity brother tortured a cat to death in my hometown. The details even now are beyond imagination. archive.is/xdmUL

I was traumatized for years from reading the news story.

The torturer? Now the head of the NRA.

At this point it doesn’t even matter. CBS is a distant third in the evening news and none of the network news broadcasts are primary portals to the outside world anymore.

I would hazard that 80%+ of Americans first learned about today’s events on either FB, Instagram, or TikTok.
Two and half minutes. That’s all the time the CBS Evening News thought today’s events in Minneapolis were worth. Not even time to tell viewers what Alex Pretti did for a living.

The winter storm got 8 minutes.

NBC Nightly News spent 8 minutes, nearly half the show, on Pretti’s killing

Was thinking about why I don’t want “truth and reconciliation” to crowd out prosecution even though the former has a much better track record for long-term stability.

That track record was built before ubiquitous video.

We have what we need already. We just need their names.

Big shout out to these parents for accepting the fight they know they are inviting
Kare 11 local news just read, in full, this statement from Michael and Susan Pretti, the parents of Alex Pretti.

"Please get the truth out about our son."

at the end of the day, this is the difficult truth. we are not going to be able to flip the script until and unless we win the midterms.

I think forcing a showdown on the DHS bill is worth a try, but please do not scream and yell at Senate Dems when they accept something less than "abolish ICE."
The plan is the midterms

This website doesn't want to grapple with that reality because they're going to be in denial over the consequences of the 2024 election until like the middle of this century
What's the plan, Chuck? I run a fake news website. You're the Senate Minority Leader. What's the plan?

Really throws into stark relief the lack of civic pride in his administration.

Filled almost top to bottom with people who despise where they grew up.

Miller: Los Angeles
Vance: Ohio
Trump: NYC

I suspect Rubio is the exception. He likely has real affection for Florida.
The fact that Hegseth is from Minneapolis if anything makes it worse
