even as a former frequent vegas visitor this makes perfect sense to me, you should only be able to bet on the outcome of something if you are there.. table, track, slots, collectible card game, etc. being able to just flush infinite money down the tubes from anywhere is god awful
I have come to the conclusion that all gambling should be made illegal again; or at the very least, must all be conducted in person at bookies.

They know that SCOTUS is very likely to overturn the 14th amendment, which definitionally means that overturning the 14th amendment is a reasonable thing to do, which means they need to start preemptively constructing justifications for it now, to show how reasonable and sensible they are.
You could write this. Or you could write: “That notion, which has been the rule in nearly every country in the Western Hemisphere for over a century, is grounded in the language of the 14th Amendment.”

All how you choose to frame it.

When we made our systemic game MirrorMoon EP about the manipulation of systems, the play of contingency, and the brokenness of machines, you commented, “Oh, so experimental games mean Portal guns now?”

It traumatised us so much we’ve been making games exclusively about Italian politics ever since
The interesting, sophisticated thing about games is not whether they can tell stories as well as books or movies (they can’t) or float shocking themes as well as fine art (honestly, who cares).

It’s the manipulation of systems, the play of contingency, the brokenness of machines.

Thinking about this a little more and like -- why SHOULD tech workers at big companies be excited about AI? From an economic perspective at least?

Let's think about this for a sec --
'“If you hang out with founders and investors in Seattle, the energy is completely different,” Calbucci wrote.'

Geez, wonder why the energy is different among the people who are expecting returns from AI compared to the people getting fired because of it. MYSTERIOUS

We know someone involved in sports medicine who was a little iffy about trans women's participation in sports, but when we pointed out there were even moves to exclude them from competitive chess, she immediately realised the whole thing was a con job
Kudos for these women for standing up and doing the right thing but they're trying to ban trans women from e-sports now? Absolutely ridiculous.

Again, if this is a legitimate reason to kill someone (it isn’t), then there was nothing the survivors could have done to avoid being killed. And we know that can’t be right, because the USMCJ cites the killing of shipwrecked people **as its prototypical example** of an unlawful order.
4/ Even worse on these officials account, it seems if the third view is correct, that was a reason to kill the survivors.

You read that right, and I am not exaggerating.⤵️

A shipwrecked person beckoning others to come rescue them is a basis for killing them.

Jumanji (1995) is not technically a Jumanji. Jumanji (1995) investigates the aftermath of a Jumanji thirty years previously and is technically a Hellraiser
Thanks for your help! Here’s what I’ve found:
- Girl Underground
- This World Keeps Summoning Heroes
- Many classes, few systems

And:
- DIE is not an Isekai
- DCCarl is not an Isekai
- Any TTRPG could be an Isekai, why bother
- All TTRPGs are obviously Isekai already and I am a stultifying buffoon
What Isekai TTRPGs are there? I'm trying to work out why this isn't a more popular genre.

So far we've worked out:

- DIE: the RPG, I suppose
- That one class from BREAK!!
- The Dungeoncrawler Carl TTRPG, I think, but it's not out yet

With the labour MP of the day, you understand why they regularly do things like proposing to make an existing crime illegal. They don't know how anything works.

The only problem with immigrants illegally working is the fact ghouls like you think it should be illegal for them to work you scum
However, I reiterate the original and main point I made which is if Digital ID can help reduce illegal work then that is a good thing.

And it is not progressive to lose control of who is entitled to be and work here.

I don't have any illusions about the United States military, what it does, or how many times this has happened before

but the fact that they sat there for 41 minutes, watched two scared, human beings desperately struggling to stay alive, and then murdered them has fucked me up so deeply

The fact that four hostile drones tried to hit Zelenskyy’s plane & it’s barely a blip in the news cycle should terrify everyone. We’ve been dragged so deep into the chaos era that an attempted strike on a world leader doesn’t even break through. When this becomes normal, the world is in real danger.
