AI is a legit branch of computer science with a LOT of different approaches & addressing MANY different types of problems.

Seen a bunch of “where are the 2A types now to fight the tyrannical govt?” replies, so want to add this.

It’s not inconsistent that they aren’t fighting, bc there are two definitions of “freedom” here, and they are thinking of the other one.

"Where is the NRA now" posts are, I think, useful frames for noting the key insight of Cowie's Freedom's Dominion:

There are two types of freedom:

1. FROM oppression.
2. TO oppress.

And (2) has always been what the NRA types embraced.

So Trump IS LIBERATORY for them.

To be clear:

LA County has declared a state of emergency BECAUSE OF the federal government.

The Feds, LA County is (correctly) saying, have CAUSED the emergency.

This is a striking political moment of internal collapse. Local govts feeling compelled to protect their ppl from … their own govt.

The people I see advocating respirator use, including myself, are disabled and speaking from necessity and firsthand understanding of the consequences. I'm sure there are people coming at the issue from fear, but I haven't seen that.
I know people won't adopt it widely, but stigma is still injurious

These ladies are fantastic and I am SO GLAD that a prominent Senator is hearing this from someone!! Sometimes I feel like they’re all in their lil DC bubbles and think of the rest of us as radicals or haters or whatever. She did a great job representing.

Alarmingly, you still look pretty great puffy and sick. I’m sorry you’re feeling crappy but glad the shepherd’s pie pulled thru for you. Those things are fantastic. Meat and potatoes is just top tier comfort food, particularly when made tender and easy to spoon great hunks of.

Pink (the word) comes from the verb “to pink”—to cut with a zigzag edge. There is a flower with petals that have edges like that in the UK, named a pink after the verb, and you can probably guess what color it is usually. 😉 The color got named after the flower, which was named after the verb.

Contemporary romance is one of the few fiction genres that is often actually very funny. Romance generally is basically always having a good time even when it’s trying to do something serious, but there are a lot of very funny writers. So far I’m really enjoying this one!
