If I'm correct it's because Democratic electeds and consultants want to win by default, that is reach a political equilibrium in which the GOP are seen as too extreme to govern, and a plurality of voters have no choice but to elect Democrats. This results in sliding right and taking the temperature.

I love how the algorithm on here just periodically dumps people completely outside your wavelength on your posts, in bunches, hours or days later.

It's here where "only Chotiner asks follow up questions" is exposed because there's an obvious one here: where should that honesty lead? If we're being honest, can we continue to materially support and politically cover... etc. I don't expect she's ready to say no, but she won't be asked.

katherine dee is herself a reactionary who has written for TERF blog fairer disputations. her bio there cites her work at american conservative, unherd, and the washington examiner. interesting how the bio she chose here doesn’t reflect that bias. the work itself features no actual citations
