(these pages were from The Album by Mary Roberts Rinehart... i printed them pages out from the ebook so I could reference while reading, eminently useful)

all these poseurs claiming to be technologists but who don't get the difference between the Internet and apps, who value profits not protocols, and who still post to X because they fundamentally do not get that the internet is people, not platforms.

I realize that the xbox may seem like a boat anchor after this whole pricing debacle and microsoft flubbing their gaming strategy, but don't rush to toss it: it *does* make an excellent stand for a steamdeck (or legion go s in this case)

80s: BBSing, opened up a world for a farm town boy

90s: Streaming hometown radio when i was overseas, felt like magic

2000s: the iPod. pure joy. +RSS and you get podcasts

2010s: applescripting all the things together on osx

Hi, folks, a little personal news. In mid-November, I'm getting my aortic valve replaced via open-heart surgery. As scary as that sounds, my prognosis is excellent. This is fairly personal health news, and I'm posting publicly for two reasons.

the ramps are pretty tough and enough on their own but I don't trust 'em entirely. 2x10's are just there should one of the ramps crack. probably totally safe.
