To be clear, while Trump's HUD is telling a racist lie when they blame the housing shortage in CA and NY on immigrants, what they're saying is not all that different from the people who complain about transplants or who say California is full.
Same report: "Immigration accounts for up to 100 percent of housing demand growth in some regions, and for two-thirds of rental demand growth nationwide. In California and New York, immigrants have accounted for 100 percent of all rental growth ... in recent years."

The reason the conservative intelligentsia has spent decades pretending that societal shifts in cultural attitudes are the same as state coercion is to justify the use of state coercion against the elements of society they disapprove of.

Only dating advice i can offer is that that old carbon in solution in river water is absorbed by fish and then enters the bones of people who eat a lot of fish. Radiocarbon dates measured on the bones of these humans might come out too old, and a lot of Soviet era finds have never been calibrated
