The US never fought to end fascism anywhere. They joined the war because Japan forced their hand, and they saw a great way to make money. After the USSR pretty much had pushed Germany out of eastern Europe and they knew the nazis were going to lose, they jumped in.

Well I make the fury comparison insofar as using shoddy source material and taking it to the extreme to make a film is my analogy haha, like it always annoys me Brad pitts tank platoon is just driving around willy nilly with no air, infantry, artillery, recon, etc

Talking to friends about this and nobody can think of a comparable case. Hundreds of foreign military officers come through the US and train at a wide range of different institutions every year, but I can't think of any country that's ever been given its own facility *within* the US.

Seeing a lot of folks being shocked by this but this is just a training agreement. Mountain Home is a major F-15 base & the Qatari air force just bought a bunch. This is pretty common, Norway & the UAE both have facilities in AZ for flight training.
