Dave Roberts didn't want to name a NLCS Game 1 starter today, but did say they would only need just the 4 starting pitchers for a full 7 games, and would do their best to avoid a bullpen game (as much as they can)

(this almost has to mean Snell in G1, since he'd be ready on 4 days rest in G5)

A fake screenshot of someone querying "the name of a local business (I just want to see their hours)" on Google. The AI overview responds with:

as per tradition, I am rereading my Notes app Tigers season diary today (you can see me get increasingly panicked as we choke away the division) and there is really no other sport with this emotional rhythm, baseball owns

Two hours after a ballgame, the stadium still crackles with unspent energy. The grounds crew pounds away at the mound, watering the turf, trying to undo the damage that baseball enacts on nature. Family members congregate in foul territory outside the dugout, mingle and laugh and sigh, like it’s the reception after a church service. Children do cartwheels in the grass. They will grow up there, after I leave, live in the dark once they turn off the lights. At least until Wednesday, which will not ever come, because how could it?
