sports betting seems like a niche issue, but reducing people to the results of a parlay feels IDK very connected to a lot of the ways people view people's art fed to the machine to produce AI slop. this is a half-formed thought, but really it's just commodification all the way down

people betting get mad at players for doing well. they get mad at players for doing poorly. they get mad at players for doing well (or poorly) but in the wrong fashion. gambling addiction is a disorder but like many disorders, it can make you act like an asshole.
