I think we need to be careful with conflating "leans Democratic" with "not racist" Maine has a long legacy of racism. So does Oregon which is a blue state. Oregon was literally conceived as a white supremacist fever dream. And the KKK ruled Indiana for a period.

A former career DOJ guy told me a few weeks ago that prior to Trump, the FBI was the varsity team, DHI and ICE were junior varsity, and Border Patrol were like a drunken office softball team. And under Trump, the drunk softball guys are now in charge.

When I'm dictator I'm going to mandate that all teenage characters in videos/movies/TV shows/etc be played by people exactly the correct age. No more 26 year olds pretending to be high schoolers. Everyone is going to internalize what a 15 year old actually looks like
