One day, Trump will be gone. But one knows exactly what will get us there.

Andrea Pitzer offers some recent developments and examples from history that should give us some hope and courage.

This is how my local paper in the swing state of Nevada covered it: Huge picture, AP story with nary a hint that this was weird or corrupt.

As low as Trump’s approval ratings are, they’d be much lower if he didn’t have the help of large swaths of the media

people died for birthright citizenship. i get that it’s more fun to be a pundit when your team has the white house and you get to brag to friends about visiting the oval office; but what i’m wondering is if maybe that’s actually not a good reason to throw away something we fought a civil war to win?

You could argue Trump not wanting Greene for Senate to run had nothing to do with sexism. She would be a terible statewide candidate in purple Georgia. But any worse than Trump's last US Senate candidate there? Herschel G-damn Walker?

I get this but plenty of people had been calling all the strikes murder and it hadn't broken through. This revelation did and put even Republicans on the defensive and willing to do some oversignt. My sense is that any crack the regime's implacability is a foothold.
Once the debate centers on whether the 2nd strike was legal, the first 21 strikes have been accepted as baseline. But the murder of the two survivors doesn’t make the other 21 any more legal. Selective outrage, not silence, is how authoritarianism becomes normalized @tadstoermer.bsky.social

Kavanaugh Bites
My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

Physically painful to consider that Racist Shitposter is now a good government job with excellent health insurance
This DHS post in a fashy font features the sizzle reel of the raid on the Chicago apartment building, set to a cover of “Jesus Walks,” a song by Ye…an artist originally from Chicago who is now best known for his “Christian,” pro-Hitler stance. Very subtle.

This is solid information but what's hidden in the data for "good states" is that Black, immigrant, and indigenous families still have similar "disparity" ratios. "We know that here in MN we're good at caring for patients unless they're Black" - CNO during orientation at my last hospital gig.
It is those who live in the states in the South and Midwest that ALREADY have the HIGHEST infant mortality and black babies who will suffer disproportionately as their state governors will like accede to ACIP's recommendation. 2/

The fake medal thing really makes me think they're treating him like a dying king. But also like a spoiled child. Same difference!
Mockler: It's honestly humiliating that other countries are treating our president like a child, like a baby. It's like if I created a peace prize and I gave it to myself. I'm like, I'm just going to keep this medal on all night. Our president is an actual child
