Do you remember what Trump's nominees said under oath at their confirmation hearings? I read the transcripts so you don't have to. Unlike Comey, targeted for a "lie" that seems nonexistent, they repeatedly misled and lied to Congress—and we're all paying the price. www.thebulwark.com/p/trump-admi...

Once again Trump & Co. are making clear the kind of America they want. It sent me into a funk until I remembered this piece and the optimism I felt writing it. Their America will never be. It is, to borrow an apt historical phrase, "a lost cause." Thank goodness.

Ahead of launching a war on Venezuela, the US would like to announce that no one in Venezuela should help US forces, it'd be stupid to do so, the US will denigrate you and screw you over no matter how much you help, and blame you if even one Venezuelan who also helped the US ever does something bad.

Q: Do you plan to attend Sarah's funeral?

TRUMP: I haven't thought about it yet, but it's certainly something I can conceive of. I love West Virginia. You know, I won West Virginia by one of the biggest margins of any president anywhere.

At what point will someone or something make this stop? And by “this,” I mean the whole damn thing. It’s unbearable, unsustainable, unAmerican.

"I personally think it will take a specific carveout from the filibuster for 'democracy' votes that will make democracy stronger. Making D.C. is a state is one of them," she said.

These two things are true:
1) Shooting National Guard members is horrific and criminal.
2) So is putting National Guard members in harm’s way to score political points.

A sad irony in Washington, D.C., where West Virginia National Guardsmen were shot today. Six days ago, a court ruled their deployment was illegal, but stayed the order pending appeal. My heart goes out to these public servants and their families. oag.dc.gov/sites/defaul...
