This all came 30 min. After a long, sympathetic statement to the families accepting full responsibility for his actions.

Negated immediately.

Justin Crenshaw, who brutally killed two people and stabbed them with swords to stage their bodies in 2008, was just re-sentenced to life in prison.

Following the decision, he told the judge, “Wipe your ass with that, your honor.”

Hey, I'm a stranger on the internet and you didn't ask for advice. But I want to flag that secondary/vicarious trauma is a thing that many reporters deal with, and the old Dart Center's resources are now available via the Global Center for Journalism & Trauma. E.g.: gcjt.org/resources/me...

Another day of court and another day of coming back to the newsroom, crying. Truly indescribable what families of murder victims have to deal with. And to come back to court and relive their trauma all over again is something I could never do.

I've seen posts expressing frustration that Department of Education/disability stuff firings isn't in the news. Some places have covered it, but I encourage people to recognize that journalists are humans who can't do everything on the weekend when we need to rest.

I wrote a month ago on this website I was in a funk, plateauing and feeling like garbage in my work.

I think it’s fair to say that in the last two weeks I’ve completely made up for it. Whew.

Her case was considered a cold case for 22 years until advancements in DNA technology led to the testing of a pillowcase found on her body. Her killer Arbie Williams was already in prison for the rape of an 8 year old

Linda Strait was raped and murdered in Spokane in 1982 and then dumped in the river. Her killer has a shot at being released.

“I can never make my sister come back, right?” John said. “So he shouldn’t be able to come back.”

AND i had to check every city individually and it was very hard cause every result is by **county** ….

so yeah anyways pls do not fact check a reporter and then still be wrong because you didn’t read the story 😉

I’ve gotten so many emails that say: “Spokane is not liberal. The majority voted for Trump.” And then they send me the election results.

Those are COUNTY results. The majority of Spokane CITY (and Boise, too) voted for Harris. Thus the use of “liberal cities”

My worst traits in order
- crying at the end of National Treasure
- believing National Treasure could be real
- crying at the end of National Treasure 2
- also believing that could be real
