Professional labor photographer. Unions for all. Birds. Whales. Cats. Hydration. Maybe a dash of democratic socialism. Not necessarily in that order. Too much optimism for the current moment.

Cute content skeeted often, not with the news cycle

Our enemies are cowards and we're going to defeat them.
Do not assume that everything they set out to do is inevitable. They have been successfully fought on multiple fronts, from courtroom wins that have actually stuck to city and state governments that haven't backed down, to activists in the streets organizing against their violence.

It's fascinating that after breaking the legal observers' car window, reaching in the car to unlock and open the door and unbuckle the driver's seat belt, they just gave up when they couldn't get them out of the car. Just walked away. Evil, lawless, and also lazy
ICE attacked an observer after they tailed a group of clergy on a spiritual pilgrimage.

Our digital producer @sam.vp just so happened to be with the clergy on their journey. He spoke with the observer who was attacked and others who witnessed the assault.

ICE is in maine now, if you didn’t know. they’re calling it “operation catch of the day.” fuck every single one of them.
i fear that if ICE takes a trip into central/western/northern maine they’ll learn that they looooove their second amendment right up there

It's so easy to find fun, personable, naked people on this website. Many of them also post about sports.
Any complaint about Bluesky that isn't specifically about moderation decisions or site architecture is just you saying "my friends are boring as shit". Get better friends.

Occasionally in long campaigns you reach a moment where so many people have become invested, the opposition has become so weak, and all your organizing finally starts snapping into place.

Today felt like that moment

Our only option is to win

There remains much work to be done, but we will win. 💜

We are the laborers who make this country run.

From Justice for Janitors to the Fight for $15 and a Union.

From the Day Without Immigrants in 2006 to today's Day of Truth and Freedom, we know that when we fight, we win.

And we won't back down.

Estamos en la lucha!

It's negative -25°F and tears are dangerous.

I know this is ironic to say on general strike day but I am SO GLAD I don't have to work many hours tomorrow.

I am SO EXHAUSTED!!!

This is the way. Any 2028 Dem candidates need to start saying that on Day One: (1) all ICE agents fired; (2) pensions/benefits defunded; (3) forced to pay backpay as restitution to victims; and (4) only way to avoid prison is to become a cooperating informant
Maybe instead of identifying specific ICE agents who do particularly heinous things, we could just penalize everyone who was on payroll at the agency starting by a certain date.

No pelicans today, but still plenty of emotions 💜💜
Up at 2:30am to finish planning for today

Walked 3.5 miles

Captured roughly 1800 shots

Got to the end of the Ocean just in time to witness this

People like the quote Walter Crane's "The cause of labor is the hope of the world"

I don't know if that's true

I do know I'm glad to be a part of it 💜

We will win. When we do, we can expect that a lot more stories than we already know will come out about the atrocities the regime has committed. We will need to be very serious about accountability and justice. A root-and-branch process of deMAGAfication of the US.
Something is deeply wrong if we, as a society, cannot agree that an administration that snatches up children, uses them as bait to hunt down others, is morally repulsive.
They want to tell you a kid with a Spider-Man backpack is evil
Liam Ramos' innocence, like the innocence of all kids, is unimpeachable. The visuals of his arrest are excruciating.

There were several images like this, just the hat. Symbolizing the stolen child. The mournful eyes of the puppy hat creature already look like they are welling with tears. Incredibly powerful.
