I don't understand any rhyme or reason to the organization or provenance of the various tranches of Epstein Files, but they clearly contain tons of raw investigative materials of dubious reliability/value and—at the risk of being a huge buzzkill—we all should exercise some careful discernment

the least shocking thing in the epstein files that wont get enough attention. police regularly arrest and charge victims to coerce them into participating, often jailing them in conditions that are worse.

jesus the Palm Beach Police really sought arrest warrants against underage Epstein victims for coming forward and cooperating, and (purported) admitting to crimes, and it caused the victims to become uncooperative with the federal investigation

just for context, this appears to be a report that was generated based on a tip submitted online through a form on the FBI’s website. anyone can submit a tip. it’s illegal to submit false tips, sure, but “the president dropped my dead baby in lake michigan” sounds like someone who needs help.

So for some of the Epstein docs they highlighted in black and then forgot to “print to pdf” which would have effectively flattened the formatting and stopped text being recoverable, but here we are.

The Department of Justice has officially released nearly 30,000 more pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Some of these documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election. To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already. Nevertheless, out of our commitment to the law and transparency, the DOJ is releasing these documents with the legally required protections for Epstein’s victims.

An article that deserves more attention on how things started to shift to the right at the ADL during Greenblatt's tenure.

One example: when the ADL opposed the nomination of Kavanaugh, Greenblatt got so upset that he yelled at his staff for this wasn't a "core issue."

Melanie Robbins, who worked in the New York and New Jersey regional offices from 2016 to 2019, eventually rising to deputy director, recalled what she characterized as a milestone in Greenblatt’s shift. She said he appeared furious after the ADL was lacerated from the right when it opposed President Donald Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court in 2018, citing his record on reproductive rights. One critique, as outlined by the conservative Jewish commentator Liel Leibovitz in the Wall Street Journal at the time, was that the ADL was ceding its mission of protecting Jews “by weighing in on matters far removed from its traditional mandate.” The ADL as a matter of course filed amicus briefs on abortion rights cases. “ADL has filed amicus briefs in every major Supreme Court case since Roe supporting reproductive freedom and opposing efforts to curtail abortion rights,” the group said in 2019, explaining why it regarded defending abortion as a matter of discrimination and curtailing hate. After the op-ed, Greenblatt responded strongly, recalled Robbins. She said he erupted at a meeting with the regional office’s executive board. “Jonathan came and he was very angry. He said women’s issues are not core issues,” she said in an interview. She said he was yelling. Another former staffer recalled a similar encounter with Greenblatt about the ADL’s Kavanaugh statement.

Civil Action No. 25-766 (JEB) MEMORANDUM OPINION Nine months ago, six Venezuelan men were hustled out of a detention center in Texas, loaded onto planes, and shipped to an infamous mega-prison in El Salvador with no explanation and no opportunity to challenge the reason for their hasty removal. On behalf of themselves and a putative class of similarly situated detainees, they have turned to the courts to vindicate their constitutional right to due process. These efforts have precipitated multiple trips up and down the assorted tiers of the federal judiciary, complicated by their subsequent transfer to and release in their native Venezuela. After the D.C. Circuit vacated this Court's prior preliminary injunction, Plaintiffs have again moved for an order enjoining the Government to facilitate their return to the United States to pursue their individual habeas claims. In addition, it will certify a class of Plaintiffs who were removed on March 15 and seek to enforce their right to a hearing. On the merits, the Court concludes that this class was denied their due-process rights and will thus require the Government to facilitate their ability to obtain such hearing. Our law requires no less. ORDER For the reasons stated in the accompanying Memorandum Opinion, the Court ORDERS that: 1. Plaintiffs' [177] Motion for Summary Judgment is GRANTED; 2.
