I have bet against Big Game Jim before and I have done so only to my detriment. This movie is going to set sales records that will only be eclipsed by its sequels.
it's that time of year when a bunch of people start pretending their personal distaste for the avatar franchise can bend reality in their favor against the inevitable tide of james "big jim" cameron's next guaranteed blockbuster smash hit. you can ignore them, they are fools

Back in the days of the Old Internet, there was a site called Fametracker that did Fame Audits of various celebrities. It was consistently hilarious and we absolutely need to resurrect it so we can implement this
In lieu of elaborate means-tested standards or onerous top-down management, my proposal is simple: no one who is more famous than Druski is allowed to be in TV commercials. Druski's fine, I have no quarrel with him. Puddy from Seinfeld is probably below Druski now, he can stay. Chris Pratt must go.

Look, I am very, very white, both physically and culturally. But even I'm not this white.

Also, the comments talking about her husband are how I learned that he's _32_ years older than she is, and I've never understood someone's daily life less

My kid figured out very quickly that there was a tone in my voice that meant "not til you're older" and a different tone that meant "not ever, like EVER."

He cottoned on pretty fast that Roblox was in that latter group.
Literally EVERY parent should ban Roblox
Every parent whose career has to do with online safety also bans Roblox.

I was explaining the idea behind "benefit of the doubt" to my kid the other day, and even he picked up immediately that you have to have some doubt in the first place for it to work
I've seen a fair amount of "if you take a nuanced approach/give them the benefit of the doubt/provide lots and lots of context" in defense of both the New York Times and the national Democratic Party and I guess my question is, what have either done in the last decade to earn that?

I could toss out the most ridiculous, over the top response to this question, and probably still be off by orders of magnitude
How many different people's work do you think you've seen since you've been on social media? Like how many different individuals have created the photos, videos, and words that you've looked at since you started scrolling timelines on your phone?
