Surprise! Britain's most popular newspaper fervently believes that ICE are the good guys. By an extraordinary coincidence, the same newspaper supported the Nazis in the 1930s.

I’m really quite surprised at the BBC website today. β€˜Here is a video, some people say it does not show what it very obviously shows’ is not how you report this.
Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

This is just spectacularly, dizzyingly awful.
And here’s an Omni jet landing in Equatorial Guinea yesterday. This is very likely a third-country removal to a torture prison, the second in a week and the third there overall.

Marco Rubio paid off their dictator using humanitarian funds.

It's that time of year again: we're looking for our next Antarctic team!

If you can imagine a job that’s needed to keep a small, remote community safe and running, we have it.

Escape the ordinary and apply for the job of a lifetime in Antarctica ⬇️

I mean, just look at him... Way to make lemonade out of a squinty eye.

It's admittedly not a very high bar, but #davosmacron is my favourite thing about 2026 so far πŸ”₯
This will get massively overshadowed today and as ever the devil is in the detail, but is should be one of the best things Labour has done. It has the potential to improve the lives and finances of millions of people.

Can we do a sweepstake on which 'thinktank'-employed retired geologist they are going to wheel out to be in charge of USGCRP?

BTW we have been through the 'dirt drying in the sun' merry-go-round in NorESM the last couple of months. The degree to which the soil evaporation changes (introduced to reduce runoff & arctic salinity) altered the climate was a little distressing for all concerned. But it wouldn't have made good TV
