But really what I want is a Hardspace: Shipbreaker story that ends with a labor uprising sweeping the solar system.

What is your favorite "Christian" Christmas song and what is your favorite "Secular" Christmas song?

I was kicked out of Sunday school at age 5 because the only thing I would sing was Silent Night when it was time for hymns.

Secular, I'd have to go with Chiron Beta Prime by Johnathan Coulton.
What is your favorite "Christian" Christmas song and what is your favorite "Secular" Christmas song?

I will probably always adore "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" for Christian.

And "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" for secular.

Who transed more genders: Bugs Bunny high femme, or Scooby Doo villains with swirly eyes and a pocket watch?
What's wild is that in the '80s, sexualized hypnosis was *everywhere* in entertainment aimed at, frankly, children. Just a constant stream of evil women putting the whammy on, primarily, young men and boys. Ask me how I know!

Okay, so, the other really bad news that I got just kicked me under the table, so now I'm stressed, and I don't like that.

Really, REALLY need like, double this, and it's really, REALLY life or death.
NO, I have no idea why, but having a lawyer is the why behind my ass not knowing until now. They don't talk to you anymore after that. 💀💀

There are 133 million households in the US. If households shifted just $25 of spending to small businesses, it will move $3.3 billion back to local communities instead of going to large corporations #weaintbuyingit #shoplocal #smallbusinesssaturday

Honestly at this point I'm more curious about whether the others can save the mean lesbian (and possibly humanity) from herself. I'm very much Team FFS Carol Slow Down And Think For One Godsdamned Minute.
pluribus is the only show brave enough to ask if one mean lesbian could save the world

There are so many things to anger the mind here, I know, but the way this dude uses "biomarkers" as if they were some hidden cRPG stat that deterministically dictated future performance and not just what your body is currently working on metabolically makes me think dungeoncore was a mistake.
I absolutely regret to inform u (but not enough to not have opened this can of worms on purpose to my friends) that it is real

Take my cats to the vet. Get my two crumbling molars that insurance won't cover fixed. Past that the sheer amount of doom-rumimation that having a steady income would eliminate opens up so much. Cleaning my home, taking care of myself and my partner, creative projects galore.
Honest question: If everyone got Universal Basic Income, no strings attached, what would YOU do with it?

help?
Mem's raising for rent and is only a little over $200/$1133 of the way there. Rent's been late multiple times, shutoffs also aplenty & bill due. Doc needed for meds.

ignoring this condemns them to homelessness with trauma / bad health / threat of death & institutionalization.
i have 5 lexapros left that are $30+ at walmart & now 2 days without blood pressure meds.

I thought id get them by now after paying utilities on time but i did not raise them, they all risk shut off & i now have til Monday night to raise $1133 rent.

Please share this thread to the end?! thank you!

as some of you know, I finally won my disability case after 10 years of fighting.

The downside? Payouts are delayed, and I only get 2.9k of the 32k I was owed.

I'm stressed.

Things like meds, appointments, and the like rely on this, on top of saving to move into an accessible apartment.

See also the tragedy of orphan dwarves (dworphans): only mothers care for infants, so if the mother dies her infant just crawls around the fortress ignored by other dwarves until it either starves to death and sends its father into a rage or grows into a toddler that can feed itself.
In Kruggsmash's newest series, Spearcavern, two big problems with dwarf fortress appear.

A dwarf loses one hand and then a decade later loses the use of her other hand. It turns out there is no in-game way to address this disability. No prosthetics, no caregiving tasks, nothing.

Spent the day hiding the pastel dyed turkey legs for the kids to hunt tomorrow. Got imaginative this year, it's going to be tough for them to find them all to fill their baskets. Some have candy and loose change in them.
