Timon McPhearson is an American urban ecologist, researcher, academic and author. He is a Professor of Environmental Studies at New York University and the founder and director of the Urban Systems Lab. McPhearson is known for his interdisciplinary research on the interacting social-ecological-technological processes that drive urban system dynamics and impact human well-being. He is a research fellow at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies and Stockholm Resilience Centre.
