Depends. If incentives are increasingly for wasteful, brute-force AI algorithms (what we're seeing in U.S.), contribution could be substantial. If instead we focus on more efficient AI algorithms like China, maybe not. But my critique of tech plutocrats in article has nothing to do w/ any of this.
