👍🏻 Btw some young folks are great researchers despite having very few citations, and we should state this if true. I sometimes add a half-joking footnote that while the Hirsch-Index of the candidate is modest, I once heard that Prof Hirsch said "the H-index is a very good proxy for years since PhD".

At the risk of saying something completely useless because everyone has it worked out

There is no magic trick, your classmates *may* be faster than you, but they are still studying as long as they need to and you are quite capable of the same
