In the UK, with little time to write between various responsibilities, I used a tomato timer to train myself: 25 mins writing, 5 mins break, then repeat. It builds the skill of short-burst writing. I kept my laptop ready on my office desk, ready for any 25-minute slot. Surprisingly effective

Couldn't read the article as I dont have subscription, but the title seems contradictory. This building is not a reflection of what humanities can do, it's paid for by philanthropy. It CAN become so, if they will leave humanities to itself inside it and not set stifling conditions and expectations .
