you can scarcely hear Foley in this track, this was released ten years after his death by Super Secret Records as part of a double LP retrospective of the band we started together, Transona Five. I will miss him forever

I was in a band and our guitarist died in 2007, we released several albums and were all close friends, after he passed away I would play his songs and listen to his voice and miss him so much, feeling comforted by knowing I could still feel him through the music we made. Old LP took me back to that

I was walking to work in downtown seattle looking up new music on my phone, came across a new That Dog track, listened to it and by the first chorus I had to stop in a park to cry thinking about how beautiful that message was

The song “Old LP” by That Dog came out in 2019 and is sung from the perspective of the singer missing a dear and beloved friend who has died and being able to put on a record to hear the voice of their friend again as if they were still alive and in the room.
