Now that you’ve survived Thanksgiving small talk, it's time to treat yourself:

my interview with Judy Reyes is out and it’s a damn good listen. We got into ICE raids, immigrant families, community power—and some Scrubs nostalgia.

You definitely missed this while eating pie. Please give a watch!

It's 4:45 and I don't have a headache. It's a miracle. I focused on neck stuff today. It seems to have worked. 🤞🏾

I wrote this thread in a fury. I neglected to note that trans men also need knowledge about menopause. As do nonbinary people.

Back to your regular scheduled annoyance at the patriarchy
If they hadn’t burned all the witches and midwives back in the day, we’d probably know more about perimenopause and menopause right now. We know fuck all about a condition that half the population goes through because men are a bunch of plonkers*

They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

Amnesty International, interviewing migrant detainees, identifies use of the confinement box. There can be no denying it is a torture prison

I do find it interesting that one of the reasons for the earliest abortion bans in America is because doctors wanted to end the competition they received from midwives.

Also, it occurs to me that some of the women could have been burned *because* of perimenopause. Personally, I know there are some days when I feel possessed by demons (for justifiable reasons).

I would like to know how immigrants are supposed to feel safe on this website when our spouses who post about us are being suspended, banned and mocked by the head of safety.

Portia got me this ginormous water bottle that has time stamps and words of encouragement like "keep chugging" and "don't give up." I'm hella hydrated y'all

Democratic state Sen. Julie Gonzales on Monday announced she is running to unseat U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper in 2026, aiming to ride a wave of liberal and progressive dissatisfaction with Democratic leadership to an upset primary victory.

I was thinking about this the other day as I scoured Google for an app to track my cycle without having a period. We lost a lot of recipes when good women had to go into hiding and hide their knowledge because a bunch of men couldn't handle smart women and shamed us for discussing our own bodies. 🫩

I just assume anything ailing me now is menopause related & anything I might do to intervene is both simultaneously indicated & contraindicated… And may either heal me or cause my immediate death.

Case in point: I learned this by experiencing sciatica pain -- to the point of needing a cane to walk. Finally, an older woman friend (NOT a doctor) taught me the stretches and muscle building exercises to fix it. Modern medicine shouldn't rely on a freaking coffee klatch.

Imagine if men hadn’t just taken over gynecological care and we’d had centuries of brilliant women to tell us how menopause makes you dumb, freezes shoulders, gives you hives for no reason, raises our core body temperature ten degrees, gives you headaches, makes your sciatica hurt (that’s a new one)

The worst part is these headaches are cutting into my gaming time. How am I supposed to never finish Sekiro if my head hurts all day.
December 8, 2025 at 3:50 PM
But hey at least I get a few hours this morning of relief. I’ll just have to get all my work done before it starts up and then I’ll just go to bed i guess.
December 8, 2025 at 1:48 PM
Your head is not supposed to pound for 18 hours a fucking day
December 8, 2025 at 1:47 PM
I think it’s a neck thing. My head started pounding at 1:30 p.m. and didnt’ stop until I woke up randomly at 1 am.

It’s really so bad. It’s not caffeine, I already take blood pressure meds, it’s not dehydration because i drank enough water to drown a city yesterday. I’ll go back to acupuncture :(
I’ve been getting terrible headaches but they only happen in the late afternoon/evening. Not in the morning (knock on wood.) I don’t get it. Maybe it’s barometric pressure? I don’t even know what that means but that’s what the internet says and you should always believe what you read on the internet

I have finished every Souls game multiple times with one exception and that exception was this bloody game with its parry window that's shorter than a telomere and if I had those kind of reflexes I still wouldn't play it because I'd be making bank in the UFC instead
I bought Sekiro. I know Souls games are too hard for me. But I bought it anyway. I’m a button smasher. You can’t be a button smasher in Sekiro. So I’ve spent like an hour in the training temple trying to figure this shit out. Am I having fun? I don’t know. Probably not. But I’m STUBBORN.
