Reminder that shortly after ordering these strikes, Hegseth removed the press corps from the Pentagon and the SouthCom Commander overseeing operations in the Caribbean unexpectedly announced he is stepping down 2 yrs before his term is up. What we are seeing is just the tip of the iceberg.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.
Hegseth order on first Caribbean boat strike, officials say: Kill them all
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a verbal order to kill all crew members in the Sept. 2 strike on a suspected drug boat. Navy SEALs fired a second missile.

Yes but that would require voting which is something a not insignificant part of this website's American audience refuses to do.
Exactly, pressure them to commit to fix shit and primary the ones that don't.

Then hold them to their word, aggressively.
I find the 'the Democrats won't do anything' doomer line annoying, because the Democrats will be who you make them - look how much the GOP changed over the past decade!

Right now the party feels immovable but the moment it has a presidential nominee, it will be whatever that person is.

The thing about Iraq is that I remember people talking about it. Sure the Internet wasn't as big of a thing at the time, but the coming invasion was certainly something people discussed offline.

But this? At least for me no one offline seems to know any of this is happening.

I found the people who should lose their job because of AI.
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

“Guest: I have some friends in the industry and a game that they're really excited about right now was called Chicago ‘68. It is a tabletop game based off the Democratic National Convention.

Host (confused): Sounds like fun…

Guest: Well, for some people it is.“

It is absolutely wild to me that anyone in or around Chicago legitimately believes that Christkindlmarkt, a massive tchotchke emporium with overpriced mulled cider and glögg populated by nothing but the most holiday-pilled aunties from Big Ten country, is a security risk, requiring hundreds of cops.
The Christkindlmarkt thing is so funny top to bottom. America so starved for vibrant public spaces and events that this winter craft fair gets Disneyland-level regional demand, and this is seen as a problem to be solved with cops and security

Manifesting Groyper Cleveland out of sheer incompetence.
If Republican vote share in midterms and specials continues to be so closely tied to Trumps approval numbers, this puts them in contention for "worst midterm in American history". If Trump sinks to 31% it practically guarantees it. The current record holder is, of course, Grover Cleveland, at 37.7%.
