Incidentally I think that one of the issues with Rowling’s portrayal of the Wizarding World is that she’d like to do Tolkien level world building but she has approximately the same world building skills as CS Lewis (“I’m going to take these cool things and that dream, put them together, and stir!”)

seasons 1 and 2 were really good, because they were written before the show hit, after that it was kinda crushed under its own weight and trying to give fans what they want, which is pretty much always a mistake.
