Now that’s what I call a ‘major lift’!

I named my fists Adorno and Horkheimer and they are about to make you critical.
I named my fists Moby and Dick because they whale
I named my fists Lot and 49 because it’s time for some crying

Someday we’ll look back at a time when a “tool” that couldn’t generate a roast turkey recipe properly was encouraged as a way to write essays on complicated topics. The current boosters will always have been against it.

But also spineless administrators who could be saying “we have well-established mechanisms for grade appeals. This is going through that process and there is no other story here.”
Universities can't function if they're constantly running scared of an online cancel factory and spineless politicians who won't push back. Should this student have received a bad grade? Don't know. Should the governor of the state be commenting on it? Absolutely not. www.oudaily.com/news/ou-stat...

Must be time for a Farage government, eh?

Chauncey Gardner but make him a belligerent ass
talking to reporters last night, Trump claimed of Hegseth's double tap strike that "I don't know anything about it," then moments later claimed "I don't who you're talking about" when asked his plan to pardon the former Honduran president

Trump’s echo chamber:

Very little U.S travel

No rallies or contact with supporters

Right-wing media

Dinners with rich donors and billionaires

I don’t really have a lot to say about the OU thing except 1) it’s obviously about the trans instructor and 2) red state publics are all so, so vulnerable to this

This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer.

I’m taking Cate Blanchett: Talented Mr. Ripley, LOTR, Life Aquatic, Black Bag, Tár, Ponyo, Hot Fuzz, Eyes Wide Shut, Thor
a lot of people debating the merits of that dogshit essay meanwhile the girl’s mom is retweeting demands to ban all trans people from teaching at any level. it’s forest for the trees shit

6 years today the first COVID case was identified in a man in Wuhan marking the beginning of a global pandemic that changed the world. We are way less prepared today to face another pandemic than we were back then. This fact makes me sad.
If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

If my university gives me $50million I promise not to teach tomorrow or the rest of the term.
My dream is to have one of those college football coach jobs where a college administrator tells me that I’m fired but also they will pay me 50 million dollars as long as I promise not to come to work
Also a reminder: a number of graduate programs at MSU have suspended intake for the coming fall, including 21 in the College of Arts and Letters.
Yet another reminder that the very best job in this world is failed college football coach.
