Absolutely insane but not surprising that a major magazine looked at someone who makes Stephen Glass look like a boy scout and said hey let's make her an editor and tie our brand in with hers
Honestly the combination of the alleged source betrayals and secret recordings and the way this has rolled out has just fundamentally fucked us all in a way that’s bigger than the Stephen Glass scandal by a significant margin, and I think everyone is grappling with that in real time

Why is WAPO writing up anyone’s speculation about who the suspect might be?
I get that Laura’s statements and actions are at times newsworthy given her influence on Trump, but no one’s speculation — outside of a government official’s — should be written up this way.
