Happy to share our latest study published in PNAS.

Using data from 274,316 French students, we find that lower-SES students are less likely to wait for better university offers, even when waiting would lead to more prestigious or better-fit programs.

Post from President Zelensky: I spoke with @bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz. Germany has been helping us a lot since the very beginning of this war – militarily, financially, and politically. I am grateful that we in Ukraine can always count on Germany’s leadership and support. I shared the latest details of our work on the steps to end the war. We are coordinating to ensure that all our partners are informed. Yesterday, the Ukrainian team returned from Geneva and provided a complete report along with an updated framework. Communication with the American side continues, and I am grateful for all of America’s efforts and personally for President Trump’s efforts. We discussed the latest developments and coordinated our next steps. We also touched upon the agenda of today’s Coalition of the Willing meeting that will be co-chaired by Germany. Thank you for your support – we will remain in close contact.

Yes - careful with 👏🏻 to statements of the far right. In Weimer's case, no need to resign. Just acknowledge and stop the conflict of interest.

It's funny to have to make this case but tbqh we don't make it enough: human efforts to counter fossil fuel use have had *at least some* effect on total greenhouse gas emissions since the signing of the Paris Agreement in 2015, and there's some evidence to back up this position

Most people hear “heat pump” and think of small air-source units at home. But Germany is building one of the world’s largest heat pumps in Mannheim: a 162 MW river-source system using heat from the Rhine.

Big reminder that heat-pumps scale far beyond households — they can decarbonise whole cities.

As co-editor, I once got the advice "the reviewer selection is the key step - do it with utmost diligence". When inviting reviewers, I therefore wrote 2 or 3 personal sentences lines to each, explaining why I need them. Never had any trouble with people not responding etc. But it was long ago.
