His Majesty King Charles III has announced that he will host German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender for a State Visit from 3-5 December. It will be an incredible moment for 🇬🇧🇩🇪 relations and the first State Visit by a German President in 27 years.

It applies to short-term travellers from non-EU/non-Schengen countries.

Germany will phase in the EES, starting with Düsseldorf airport. Frankfurt and other airports & seaports to follow.

A total of 18 German universities are among the top 200 according to the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

This puts 🇩🇪 in third place for the number of top universities in the world, behind 🇺🇸 and 🇬🇧.

@tum.de is 27th, making it the highest ranked university in the EU.

Two years on from the inhumane attack on Israel by Hamas, we stand with those who have lost loved ones or fear for them.

We call for a ceasefire, the release of all hostages, and a massive increase in aid for Gaza.
