Mostly just posting what comes to mind, like politics, video games, pop culture, advertising jingles stuck in my head for decades, some void screaming, every now and then post my "bad" art. Should probably come back and edit this description someday.He/Him

Senator Kelly is correct.

Plus a Public Service Announcement:

KEY section of Department of Defense's Law of War Manual is 18.3.2.1.

The VERY rule on the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders gives as its paradigmatic example of what is "clearly illegal:
"orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

We're hosting an emergency fundraiser to help fund a kidney procedure, this account is ran by someone in the US and is currently uninsured and we need support. Currently we're $14.7k away from meeting our goal and avoiding medical debt, any bit helps

Do you know how depressing it is seeing so many parks, roads, buildings etc that were constructed as a result of Biden's infrastructure bill, and for America to look at all of that and buy what the GOP is selling?

The New Deal wasn’t built on a promise that there would be “no ceiling” for the richest Americans.

Quite the opposite, in fact. FDR knew its politics could only work if he singled out the rich as villains and knew that its policies could only work if the rich paid their fair share in taxes.

"a man calling himself 'beast' is bribing men and women to participate in unholy games" you would tell that to any arbitrary person in europe for centuries and they would not need any further convincing to say it was the doing of the Adversary

Maybe it is the abuses that create division, not report of the abuse, not consequence for the abuse.

Maybe it is bullying that causes division, not fighting the bully on behalf of the bullied.

Maybe it is lies that cause division, not the telling of truths.

Maybe we need to change the frame.

A lot of people are pointing out that this guy is no prince among men and that JPMorgan Chase has done some stuff, and right—that’s what makes it so notable that this guy thinks there will be accountability for this stuff in the future. He believes this is the *strategic* choice. That’s revealing.

if you people actually called them Tyrannosaurus Pecks I would be so on board
“All birds are dinosaurs but not all dinosaurs are birds.” We’re not calling chickens Tyrannosaurus Pecks, even though they’re related to Rex, but it’s still a dinosaur just like we’re primates. We call our dogs wolves. But we are all children of LUCA. Which probably was an amoeba or something…

Counterpoint, I'm annoyed that we don't depict dinosaurs with feathers we've known for decades they have. Because you put a thin layer of feathers on a T-Rex and it'll look just like a very toothy bird.
my most useless pet peeve is I really hate it when birds are called dinosaurs, thats like calling a dog an amoeba because if you go back far enough it was one
November 30, 2025 at 5:14 PM
Consider modern human, e.g. us, have been around a millionish years or so. A little less or a little more depending on your definition. That's a blip when we talk about dinosaur scale timelines.
wrapping your head around how long the dinosaurs ran this place is an exercise in saying the numbers but never really fathoming them
