Mostly just posting what comes to mind, like politics, video games, pop culture, advertising jingles stuck in my head for decades, some void screaming, every now and then post my "bad" art. Should probably come back and edit this description someday.He/Him

Dude ain't up to the moment. He's never been. Ever. But its now coming to a head and this has to end. The Dem brand overall takes a hit because Schumer is so bad of a leader.

And that's the problem. This is a leadership problem. I could even get behind "honestly...after seeing this one weekend of air travel, it was unsustainable and we needed to do this" if he just came out and had some kind of plan, strategy or message.

But Schumer has nothing. Nothing at all

Chuck Schumer is either hiding behind these 8 and this was an overall strategy (have folks that aren't up for reelection vote to cover for those that are) or these 8 negotiated a deal and went around him.

Both options look bad for someone who is supposed to be a leader

My morning has been spent unloading in Cory Booker and Andy Kim's inboxes. Highly recommend you do the same with your senators for a little catharsis.
Call your congressperson too and demand that they come out against the deal and demand new leadership. They all need to feel the heat. They all need to know Schumer is a dead man walking. 202-224-3121

And look, if this *is* some kind of "senate democrats playing 5D chess to force Johnson to reopen the House to seat Grijalva" whatever the hell— & I'm not *saying* it is, but *if* it is—then the dems, at the absolute *Minimum*, need much better comms, because their current M.O. is dogshit.

There’s been a lot of ink spilled on QAnon and its effect on Trump’s base, and rightfully so. We need to have the same lens applied here, considering the broad buy-in to the idea that there is no organic support for the Palestinian people by our political, academic, and media elite.

I have now read many smart people explaining what and why the dem senate did and I stand by this. My hopes for a better America do not rest on the current class of Democratic Senators.
I am not going to let Schumer and 8 center-right Democrats bring me down. We won on Tuesday. We're gonna keep winning. Just keep telling the stories of what the Trump administration is doing and how it's making lives so much harder, about the corruption, the incompetence, the violence.

I don't think it's cowardice. I think that they are OK with what the GOP is doing. The sooner folks reconcile with this, the better.

The thing @schumer.senate.gov appears to be doing where he gets everybody who’s retiring or was just sworn in to a six-year term to vote yes so he and a bunch more moderates can vote “no” to appear more progressive than they are is so insulting lol

If the rest don’t oust Schumer immediately, then the entire U.S. Senate sold us out. They think we’re stupid. It’s insulting.
These 8 Senators sold us out to Trump:
Hassan
King
Cortez-Masto
Shaheen
Kaine
Fetterman
Durbin
Rosen

Understand This Fact: Chuck Schumer is behind this. None of these 8 are up for reelection in 2026. Schumer asked them vote yes—they agreed. He's such a coward that he folded and won't even own it.

I wonder if any future historians who write about this moment in time, will make a note of Trump being savagely booed by tens of thousands of people literally at the same time that 8 Democrats bent the knee.

This is exactly correct.
Assume all the yes and no votes from Dem senators are strategic and not sincere votes. The party caucus made a decision. No way to know how many were in favor. Then the caucus decided who would vote yes and no based on what would protect each of them politically the most. That’s how this works.
