I think the four pieces I edited by incarcerated queer journalist B Speaks may be the thing I'm proudest of this year. Speaks is an incredible writer, with an ability to take you into the world of the GA prison, and its trans and queer inmates, that takes my breath away.
In August, we got a bit of extra money from a generous donor, and I used it to expand into coverage of trans life in American prisons.
This piece, by incarcerated journalist B Speaks, describes the chaos Georgia's forced detransition regime, currently halted by the courts, wreaked in one prison.

I really hate hearing folks declare that art isn’t as good nowadays. Cultural production is always happening at a more or less constant rate. Distribution and preservation have stagnated but art continues.
