One portable generator can produce as much carbon monoxide (CO) as hundreds of cars. If you own a generator and are getting it ready for the nor’easter this weekend, check and make sure your CO alarms are working too. CO is a deadly gas you can’t see or smell and it can kill in minutes.

Users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the rail and mattress, creating an asphyxiation hazard that poses a risk of serious injury or death. In October 2023 in Ohio, an 81-year-old woman died at her home after becoming entrapped between an OasisSpace bed rail and the mattress.

CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the seller, Foshanshi Liyue Jiaju Youxian Gongsi, doing business as Crayan Inc., of China. The firm has been uncooperative in the implementation of the recall announced on June 18, 2025, failing to provide the agreed upon remedy to consumers.

When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract to each other, or to another metal object, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in serious injuries such as intestinal perforations, twisting and/or blockage, infection, blood poisoning and death.
