How does everything feel terrible now? The Tiny Me in OSHA-approved Hi-Vis Gear Who lives in my brain and pulls all the levers: Boss, it's the fascism. You're completely gunked up with cortisol due to the fact that your entire daily life is now underscored with a haunting awareness of the rapid erosion of your rights, dignity, and any and all social safety nets, and you're also bearing witness to the most vulnerable people immediately being persecuted. This creates a natural stress response that basically means you're going to continue having memory and organizational problems, as well as emotional imbalances. Me: BUT I HAVE A BULLET JOURNAL AND I MEDITATE NOW. Tiny OSHA Me: BOSS, THE FASCISM.

The Interior Department has announced it will charge $100 per head for non-US residents to visit the most popular 11 national parks.

Stupid and self-defeating. Millions have visited those parks and left with with affection for America. No more, except those who can afford $400 per family per park.

What happens when you run out of harm? As you work through your campaign, the Director will tell you how many points of Harm you take when something happens to you to incur it. Bear in mind that Harm is cumulative. The more points of Harm you take without healing what you’ve already accrued, the more intense the subsequent impact on you will be. In the event that you black out an entire Harm tracker, you have one hail Mary available to you: using your Bonding Move, this time not to open yourself to intimacy, but to trigger your Descent. Depending on the stage of your campaign you are in, your Bonding Move can be found either on your Character HUD (as a trainee) or your Mech HUD (as a graduate and pilot). How do Bonding Moves trigger Descents? If you’re trying to escape death and want to use your Bonding Move to do so, you can either trigger it in the present moment if the circumstances make sense for it, or you and the other relevant character(s) can play out a short flashback scene of your Bonding. (If you do the latter, intercut it with what’s happening in the present scene by relating how that moment of Bonding relates to what’s happening.) Example in text box: Linh is in her mech fighting a leviathan alone, against her superior’s orders. As the leviathan grows another mouth directly in front of the cockpit and it yawns open to devour her, her player initiates a flashback scene between her and Todd, set during the previous week. In it, the two of them were holding each other in bed together after a failed attempt at having sex, and she whispered that she loved him. Dreaming, Todd replied, “Please don’t. You’ll eat me alive.” The scene then cuts back to the present as the others witness Linh’s mech disappearing in one set of the leviathan’s jaws, while the other opens in a subnautic howl of satiation.

Viola Fletcher, the oldest living survivor of the 1921 Tulsa race massacre, has died. She was 111.

"I have lived through the massacre every day. Our country may forget this history, but I cannot," she told Congress in 2021.
