I'm a clumsy oaf and idiot. Stripping the bed to wash the sheets, I pulled too hard (or not hard enough) on the bedding I'd too tightly tucked. My bare feet flew out from under me. I rose up and came down hard on my back. CT scan shows compression fracture in my L3. Age and stupidity.
